Responsibilities
- Develop predictive models for 2026-2030 technological convergence points
- Lead cross-functional 'Horizon Scanning' initiatives to identify breakthrough opportunities
- Architect ethical frameworks for AI/quantum deployment in regulated industries
- Present strategic foresight reports to board members and government stakeholders
- Mentor a team of futurist analysts using our proprietary TrendMatrix methodology
- Coordinate with R&D to validate technological feasibility of strategic initiatives
- Produce annual 'State of the Future' whitepapers with industry-wide impact
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or Computational Sociology (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight roles at Fortune 500 or government innovation labs
- Published research on quantum/AI ethics or exponential technology adoption
- Expertise in scenario planning using Monte Carlo simulations and agent-based modeling
- Deep understanding of biotech-computer interfaces and neurotech convergence
- Proficiency in foresight tools like TrendImpact Analysis and Delphi methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating at least 3 implemented future-shaping initiatives
