Responsibilities
- Develop and publish annual '2026 Horizon Scans' identifying disruptive technologies and societal shifts
- Design strategic roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed futurist principles into product development
- Establish early-warning systems for emerging risks and opportunities in 2026+ ecosystems
- Present futures insights to investors, policymakers, and industry consortiums
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight framework
- Author thought leadership pieces for top-tier tech and strategy publications
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of predicting and preparing for 2020s paradigm shifts
- Deep expertise in quantum computing, neurotech, or climate resilience technologies
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Research (e.g., AC/DF)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex scenarios for diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-strategy implementations
- Experience with scenario planning tools and horizon scanning methodologies
