Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead cross-functional teams in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum AI, biotech interfaces, sustainable computing)
- Analyze global tech trends to identify disruptive opportunities with 18-36 month market readiness
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budgets through compelling ROI projections for future-facing initiatives
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Mentor next-gen talent in futuristic technology adoption frameworks
- Present quarterly innovation portfolios to C-suite and board stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years focused on future-tech commercialization
- Proven track record of launching products with 3+ year market horizons
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, neurotech, or climate-tech
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Innovation Management (PhD preferred)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/CFP) or equivalent
- Experience securing government innovation grants or venture capital for futuristic ventures
- Published thought leadership in tech futures (patents, white papers, or keynotes)
- Fluency in futures analysis methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi techniques)
