You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates, patent attorneys, and venture capitalists to identify disruptive opportunities. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of foresight analysis, commercialization strategy, and policy advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Lead 5-year technology roadmaps for carbon capture, quantum-encrypted supply chains, and biodegradable materials
- Coordinate with 15+ R&D teams to prototype and validate innovations with $10M+ annual budgets
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members quarterly
- Forge partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and national innovation institutes
- Manage patent portfolios and intellectual property strategy for emerging technologies
- Develop KPI frameworks measuring ecological impact and market disruption potential
- Represent the company at Davos, CES, and UN Climate Forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futuristics, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in technology strategy or innovation management with Fortune 500 or scale-ups
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals on emerging tech
- Proven track record launching 3+ patented technologies with $50M+ ARR
- Expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for climate tech and AI
- Fluency in Python, Causal Inference modeling, and patent law
- Security clearance or ability to obtain DOE/NASA clearances preferred
