Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap through quantitative market analysis and trend forecasting
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' initiatives to prototype and validate breakthrough technologies (quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, sustainable AI)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs to accelerate innovation cycles
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and board members securing multi-million dollar funding allocations
- Mentor a team of 8 futurists and innovation specialists through quarterly OKR alignment
- Author quarterly 'State of 2026' reports published in industry whitepapers and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, product development, or technology consulting with proven $50M+ impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized AI
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful product launches from concept to market leadership
- Proficiency in innovation frameworks (e.g., TRIZ, Horizon Scanning, System Dynamics)
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with experience presenting to C-suite and investor audiences
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from University of Houston or foresight certification program)
