This role combines cutting-edge technical expertise with strategic foresight to develop solutions for industries that don't yet exist. You'll work in our Austin Innovation Hub alongside Nobel laureates and serial entrepreneurs to commercialize breakthroughs in quantum computing, synthetic biology, and autonomous systems.

Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps for quantum and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen human-machine interfaces
- Forecast market disruptions using predictive analytics and trend modeling
- Secure $5M+ in government grants for forward-looking R&D initiatives
- Develop patent portfolios for 2026-era intellectual property
- Advise C-suite on emerging regulatory frameworks for autonomous systems
- Present strategic visions at global tech summits (Davos, Web Summit)
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Bioengineering, or related field
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with at least 3 paradigm-shifting projects
- Published research in Nature/Science with 500+ citations
- Proficiency in quantum machine learning frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience securing DARPA/IARPA grants
- Deep understanding of ISO 20890 (autonomous systems certification)
- Portfolio demonstrating commercialization of futuristic technologies
