Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026-2030 technology paradigms (quantum computing, AGI, biotech convergence)
- Develop and maintain strategic technology roadmaps with 18-24 month implementation horizons
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align technological initiatives with business objectives
- Present findings to investors, board members, and key stakeholders through compelling visual narratives
- Manage a portfolio of experimental R&D projects with $2M+ annual budgets
- Build and lead a specialized futurist team of 5-8 experts
- Author quarterly white papers on technology disruption scenarios
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership, with 5+ years in futurism/forecasting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record of implementing paradigm-shifting technologies at scale
- Expertise in emerging tech: quantum systems, synthetic biology, or AGI development
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published author in technology forecasting or peer-reviewed journals
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Technology Assessment (e.g., WFS, APF)
- Experience securing $10M+ innovation budgets
