As a key member of our Ethics & Governance division, you'll lead cross-functional initiatives to develop bias mitigation protocols, transparency frameworks, and accountability mechanisms for AI deployed in high-stakes industries. You'll collaborate with product engineers, policymakers, and international standards bodies to ensure our AI innovations align with human values while maintaining competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical AI governance frameworks for autonomous systems deployed in healthcare, transportation, and finance sectors
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives to identify and mitigate algorithmic bias in large-scale AI models
- Develop transparency protocols and explainability standards for black-box AI decision-making systems
- Partner with legal teams to create compliance frameworks for evolving AI regulations in 2026+ landscapes
- Present research findings to industry consortiums and regulatory bodies to shape ethical AI standards
- Mentor junior researchers in ethical AI methodologies and responsible innovation practices
- Conduct scenario planning for emerging AI risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field with 5+ years AI ethics research experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier AI ethics journals (e.g., Nature Machine Intelligence)
- Expertise in bias detection techniques and fairness metrics for machine learning systems
- Familiarity with EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and emerging global regulations
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, legal, and policy domains
- Strong background in applied ethics with focus on technology impact assessment
- Proficiency in Python/R for bias analysis and simulation modeling of AI systems
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethical concepts to diverse stakeholders
