Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics governance frameworks aligned with NIST and EU AI Act standards
- Lead cross-functional bias audits and fairness assessments for autonomous systems and generative AI
- Design ethical impact assessments for new AI products and deployment strategies
- Establish stakeholder engagement protocols for transparent AI decision-making processes
- Create audit trails for AI accountability and develop remediation protocols for ethical violations
- Advocate for ethical AI principles in industry forums and contribute to policy development
- Mentor engineering teams on ethics-by-design methodologies and responsible AI practices
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Expertise in bias mitigation techniques and fairness metrics for machine learning systems
- Deep knowledge of global AI regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST RMF, state-level regulations)
- Proven track record of implementing ethical AI frameworks in production environments
- Certification in AI ethics or responsible AI (e.g., IEEE, ACM, or Google AI Ethics certification)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical ethics concepts for diverse stakeholders
- Experience with AI explainability tools (SHAP, LIME) and adversarial testing methodologies
