Responsibilities
- Strategic Roadmapping: Define and execute the comprehensive technology roadmap for 2026, aligning technical strategies with business goals.
- Emerging Tech Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging technologies (e.g., Generative AI, Quantum Computing concepts) to assess viability for Horizon Core.
- Architecture Design: Lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance system architectures that support future business growth.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with product, engineering, and executive leadership to translate business requirements into technical blueprints.
- Team Leadership: Mentor senior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Evaluate third-party technology partners and manage relationships to ensure we leverage the best tools available.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; PhD preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or architect role.
- Tech Stack: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
- Innovation Focus: Proven track record of identifying and implementing innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to think long-term and drive strategic initiatives that yield measurable business results.
