Responsibilities
- Architect multi-year technology roadmaps targeting 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping breakthrough AI/quantum/decentralized systems
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 5-7 year commercialization potential
- Establish strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and industry leaders
- Present future tech visions to C-suite executives and board members
- Develop patent portfolios protecting 2026-era innovations
- Mentor junior futurists through Horizon's Innovation Academy program
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech leadership
- Proven track record launching technologies with 5+ year market impact
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum computing, or blockchain architecture
- Published research or patents in future technologies (IEEE, ACM, etc.)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 CTOs on 2026 digital transformation
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering with specialization in future tech
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Security clearance preferred for government collaboration projects
