Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech) and assess commercial viability for 2026 market integration
- Develop strategic roadmaps for tech adoption across industries, ensuring alignment with ESG principles
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and domain experts to prototype future-facing solutions
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and startups to accelerate innovation pipelines
- Present strategic vision to C-suite executives and investors, translating complex concepts into actionable plans
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts impacting tech deployment timelines
- Drive R&D investments in emerging domains with 5+ year impact horizons
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology roles with demonstrated experience in emerging tech adoption
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record leading cross-functional teams through complex tech transformations
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Published thought leadership on future tech trends (white papers, patents, keynotes)
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding for experimental technologies
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies with 5-10 year forecasting
