Responsibilities
- Lead cutting-edge research in emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization focus
- Develop and prototype breakthrough solutions in quantum computing or synthetic biology
- Secure and manage $5M+ research grants from federal agencies and private sector
- Publish in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and present at global conferences
- Mentor interdisciplinary teams of PhD researchers and engineers
- Translate theoretical concepts into scalable industrial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Biology, or Advanced AI with 5+ years research
- Proven track record of securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or corporate R&D funding
- Expertise in at least one emerging tech domain: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or CRISPR 2.0
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals
- Experience with interdisciplinary research teams across physics, CS, and life sciences
- Strong patent portfolio (5+ granted patents in emerging technologies)
