Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate tech verticals
- Partner with VPs at Tesla, Google X, and NASA to align R&D priorities with market needs
- Lead patent strategy for emerging tech portfolios (target: 15+ patents in 2026 cycle)
- Present technology forecasts to the Board of Directors and federal innovation councils
- Manage $10M+ annual R&D budget across 3 innovation centers
- Author whitepapers on AI governance and quantum security for policy summits
- Mentor PhD candidates in our 'Future Leaders Fellowship' program
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with proven track record in emerging commercialization
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field (or equivalent breakthrough work)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or carbon capture tech
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience securing DoE/NASA grants ($5M+ in funding)
- Fluency in Mandarin and Arabic for global stakeholder engagement
- Public speaking record at Davos, TED, or equivalent forums
- Portfolio of deployed technologies with >1M users or $100M+ impact
