Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neural interfaces, sustainable computing)
- Lead cross-disciplinary R&D initiatives with $50M+ annual innovation budget
- Anticipate societal impacts and ethical implications of breakthrough technologies
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to implement future-ready digital transformation
- Present strategic frameworks at global tech summits and patent 3+ innovations annually
- Mentor a team of 15 futurists and technologists through quarterly hackathons
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with 8+ years in tech strategy
- Published research in Nature/Science on AI ethics or quantum applications
- Proven track record scaling technologies from lab to market (>$1B impact)
- Expertise in forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Strong network with DARPA, IEEE, or World Economic Forum tech councils
