Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product/service innovations
- Author strategic briefs for executive decision-making on tech investments
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and startups for early-stage tech adoption
- Monitor global regulatory landscapes affecting future tech deployment
- Present strategic recommendations to investors and board members
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning or emerging tech roles
- Proven experience with technology forecasting methodologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, biotech)
- Executive communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Strategy
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism or innovation
- Experience building tech ecosystems through partnerships
- Certification in Foresight or Strategic Innovation (preferred)
