Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ technology roadmaps by analyzing emerging trends, patent landscapes, and competitive disruptions
- Lead cross-functional workshops to ideate and prototype future-facing solutions
- Conduct scenario planning for AI/quantum convergence, climate tech, and neuro interfaces
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Build partnerships with research institutions and startups for early-stage tech adoption
- Monitor ethical implications of breakthrough technologies and develop governance frameworks
- Manage a $5M innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, R&D, or emerging technologies with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, generative AI, decentralized systems, or climate tech
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 5+ year market impact
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., CFTE) or advanced degree in relevant field
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Experience securing patents or publishing in peer-reviewed tech journals
- Strong proficiency in strategic foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, horizon scanning)
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
