Responsibilities
- Develop 3-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, biotech convergence, and AI governance frameworks
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and executive teams
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (2026-2030) with patent analysis
- Architect ethical AI frameworks and sustainable tech implementation strategies
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members with data-driven insights
- Mentor a 5-person futurist team while managing $2M innovation portfolio
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for IP development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ in emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused initiatives from concept to market
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation
- Expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Certifications in AI ethics (e.g., IEEE Ethically Aligned Design) or quantum computing
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $1M
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (IEEE, Nature, or similar)
