Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging fields including quantum computing, biotechnology convergence, and AI ethics frameworks
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives focused on sustainable tech solutions for 2026 societal challenges
- Analyze patent landscapes and emerging scientific breakthroughs to identify disruptive innovation opportunities
- Present strategic technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and government agencies for collaborative future-tech projects
- Mentor a team of futurists and technical analysts in horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years experience in emerging technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching at least two industry-disruptive innovations
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI governance, quantum applications, climate tech, or neurotech
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in scenario planning and technology forecasting
- Published author in technology foresight journals or conference speaker at Singularity University/World Economic Forum
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and patent analytics platforms
