Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, blockchain, and quantum computing applications
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Translate technical innovations into commercial opportunities through patent strategy and IP development
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to integrate next-gen solutions into their digital ecosystems
- Present strategic frameworks at global tech summits including Web Summit and CES
- Establish ethical governance frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI
- Manage $15M R&D budget allocation across emerging technology verticals
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (3+ successful exits)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, generative AI, or spatial computing
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) or equivalent industry impact
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Strong network with academic institutions and national laboratories (CERN, MIT, etc.)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to C-suite audiences
