- Analyze emerging tech trends to identify disruptive opportunities and competitive threats
- Develop patent strategies for breakthrough innovations with legal and IP counsel
- Secure $10M+ in R&D funding through federal grants and venture partnerships
- Present strategic visions to C-suite and board members with data-backed ROI projections
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record launching technologies with >$100M market impact
- Expertise in at least 3 emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or Web3.0
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) or equivalent patents
- Certification in futures methodology (e.g., Foresight Practitioner, CFIP)
- Experience securing SBIR/STTR grants or similar innovation funding
