The Role: As a Future Technology Strategist, you'll lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of emerging technologies that will define the next decade. You'll collaborate with C-suite executives to align technological innovation with long-term business objectives and market disruption.
Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on emerging technologies (quantum AI, neurotech, climate engineering) and market trends
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with sustainability and ethical innovation principles
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions in simulated future environments
- Analyze geopolitical and socioeconomic factors to anticipate technological adoption barriers
- Present strategic insights to investors and board members using data-driven predictive modeling
- Partner with academic institutions and government labs to accelerate R&D breakthroughs
- Establish KPI frameworks for measuring technological impact and ROI on futuristic initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field; PhD preferred
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or emerging tech evaluation
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products with $50M+ market impact
- Exceptional systems thinking ability to connect disparate technologies into cohesive ecosystems
- Experience with scenario planning, technology forecasting, and disruption analysis frameworks
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and predictive analytics
- Preferred: Background in ethics of technology and sustainable development principles
