- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies through competitive analysis and patent research
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and Fortune 500 companies
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board members with data-driven insights
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Mentor a team of 5 futurists and technology analysts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies and patent landscape analysis
- Exceptional communication skills for executive stakeholder management
- Published research in IEEE or Nature journals preferred
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent innovation certification
- Experience securing multi-million dollar R&D grants and partnerships
