Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 5-year technology strategy with focus on 2026 market predictions
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) for competitive advantage
- Lead innovation workshops with R&D teams to prototype future solutions
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups
- Create executive-level reports on technology disruption risks and opportunities
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget for future technology incubation projects
- Mentor cross-functional teams on future-proofing methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products/services
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, quantum)
- Executive presence with board-level presentation experience
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA with tech specialization
- Published thought leadership on technology forecasting
