Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026-forward technology roadmaps aligning with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AR/VR, neuromorphic computing, etc.)
- Analyze emerging tech patents and academic research to identify IP opportunities
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members quarterly
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Partner with Stanford/MIT on joint innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- Proven track record in scaling tech ventures from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, bio-integrated AI, or climate tech
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering preferred
- Published author in IEEE/Nature journals on future tech topics
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
- Fluency in strategic scenario planning methodologies
