Responsibilities
- Analyze global tech trends, academic research, and market signals to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with company vision and market demands
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating future technologies
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Build partnerships with research institutions, startups, and industry consortia
- Monitor regulatory landscapes and ethical implications of emerging technologies
- Manage a $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Certification in Innovation Management or Technology Foresight preferred
- Portfolio of successfully implemented future-tech initiatives
