Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market projections and regulatory landscapes
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuromorphic chips, carbon-negative computing) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Conduct scenario planning for disruptive technologies and their societal impacts
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Monitor global tech policy shifts and their implications for product development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven expertise in at least three of: AI ethics, quantum computing, bio-integrated systems, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (e.g., IEEE Spectrum, MIT Tech Review)
- Experience leading cross-continental innovation teams across 3+ time zones
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Portfolio demonstrating technology commercialization of futuristic concepts
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain US government-level clearance
