Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps aligning with 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping next-gen AI systems and quantum applications
- Identify emerging tech trends through patent analysis, academic research, and startup scouting
- Secure $5M+ annual innovation grants from government and private sector partners
- Present strategic foresight reports to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future-ready technologies into commercial pipelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years experience in tech R&D with 5+ years in strategic innovation roles
- Published research in AI, quantum computing, or sustainable tech (IEEE/ACM journals)
- Track record securing $1M+ in government innovation grants
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, Delphi Method)
- Experience leading teams of 15+ technical professionals
- Validated ability to translate complex tech concepts into business strategy
