- Develop and implement innovation roadmaps aligned with company's 5-year strategic vision
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping future-facing solutions (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs for trend validation
- Create scenario-planning frameworks for market volatility and technological disruption
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and board members with data-backed recommendations
- Mentor innovation teams in future-focused methodologies and speculative design
Qualifications
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, futurism, or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial products/services
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field preferred
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
