Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data (e.g., patent trends, academic research, geopolitical shifts) to identify 2026+ innovation vectors
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for emerging technologies including quantum AI, neuro interfaces, and climate adaptation systems
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into actionable product roadmaps
- Present strategic briefings to stakeholders, translating complex futures into investment priorities
- Author thought leadership publications and represent the company at global innovation forums
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon-scanning methodologies and ethical tech assessment
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype next-gen solutions aligned with long-term trends
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology roles
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into commercial products
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Exceptional data visualization skills using tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Technology Assessment (e.g., APF, CFTE)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-focused projects with measurable impact
