Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026+ technology foresight framework through horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions in AI, biotech, and sustainable systems
- Partner with C-suite executives to translate foresight insights into strategic roadmaps and investment priorities
- Establish and nurture an external ecosystem of innovators, researchers, and thought leaders across Silicon Valley and global tech hubs
- Present strategic recommendations to boards and investors, quantifying future market opportunities and risks
- Develop immersive future-state simulations and workshops to align organizational vision for 2026 transformation
- Mentor internal innovation teams in futures-thinking methodologies and emerging technology adoption
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field with 10+ years in foresight or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating emerging technologies into scalable commercial solutions
- Deep expertise in at least three of these domains: Generative AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with experience presenting to executive audiences and investors
- Published thought leadership in futures or innovation strategy (white papers, patents, or industry publications)
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets with measurable ROI outcomes
- Fluency in futures methodologies (Delphi, STEEP analysis, backcasting) and scenario planning tools
- Global network of contacts in venture capital, academia, and emerging technology ecosystems
