Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends (AI ethics, quantum computing, climate tech) and synthesize 2026 impact scenarios
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks for Fortune 500 clients across tech, healthcare, and energy sectors
- Lead cross-functional workshops to co-create future-state roadmaps with executive stakeholders
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership on emerging technology adoption patterns
- Build predictive models using alternative data sources (satellite imagery, patent analytics, social sentiment)
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype next-gen human-machine interfaces
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning and scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology research
- Proven track record of developing future-state scenarios that influenced organizational strategy
- Expertise in at least two future-critical domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized governance
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., Futures Wheel, Delphi Technique)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Portfolio demonstrating published future scenarios or trend analysis
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Flourish) and futures modeling software
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex futures into compelling narratives
