Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps for 2026-2030, integrating emerging trends like quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, and decentralized systems
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year adoption timelines
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype futuristic solutions and validate technical feasibility
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and board members through compelling data visualizations
- Build partnerships with academic institutions, research labs, and industry pioneers to accelerate innovation
- Develop ethical frameworks for emerging technologies ensuring responsible deployment
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare for multiple future technological landscapes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of successfully anticipating and capitalizing on emerging tech trends
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies
- Experience presenting to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight or innovation strategy
- Strong network within tech innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, academic institutions, etc.)
