Job Summary:
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for the efficient check-in and check-out of guests, answering inquiries, and ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You will serve as the face of The Grand Plaza, ensuring every visitor feels valued and well-cared for.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, escorting them to their rooms if necessary.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process efficiently using our Property Management System (PMS).
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails promptly, responding to guest inquiries regarding services, directions, and local recommendations.
- Handle guest complaints and requests with patience, empathy, and professionalism to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Process payments accurately and maintain a tidy, organized front desk area.
- Assist with concierge services, including booking restaurant reservations and arranging transportation.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera, OpenMetry) is preferred.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and credit transactions.
