Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead research on quantum-classical hybrid computing architectures
- Develop error mitigation strategies for near-term quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE, Grover's)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Strong publication record in quantum/AI research
- Experience leading technical teams of 5+ researchers
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware constraints and solutions
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning applications
- Ability to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
