Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical neural network architectures using Qiskit and TensorFlow Quantum
- Lead experimental validation of quantum AI protocols on superconducting quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum accelerators for AI workloads
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science and advanced AI methodologies
- Contribute to open-source quantum AI frameworks and quantum cloud platforms
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum algorithm development (QAOA, VQE, QML)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals or top-tier quantum/AI conferences
- Experience with neuromorphic computing and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Ability to secure federal research funding and lead multi-institutional projects
