Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum machine learning algorithms for 2026-era computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype quantum-AI hybrid systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum-AI initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum algorithm development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Physics (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in quantum machine learning research
- Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and high-performance computing
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($1M+)
