Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms leveraging IBM Quantum and D-Wave systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical neural networks
- Conduct advanced research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum AI architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in government/private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Physics (2020-2025 graduates preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum/AI conferences (QIP, NeurIPS)
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum simulation methodologies
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF, DARPA)
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and optimization
