Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for real-world optimization challenges
- Collaborate with quantum hardware teams to implement algorithms on emerging platforms
- Research and mitigate quantum computing vulnerabilities in cryptographic systems
- Create hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Lead open-source contributions to quantum software ecosystems
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum programming best practices
- Publish research in top-tier quantum computing journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with exceptional experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with NISQ-era hardware constraints and error mitigation
- Publication record in quantum algorithm development
- Familiarity with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts to practical implementations
