Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Develop error correction protocols and quantum optimization algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers in quantum system integration
- Research and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning and simulation breakthroughs
- Collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 500 partners on national quantum security initiatives
- Author technical white papers and patents advancing quantum computing methodologies
- Present quantum roadmaps to executive stakeholders and investor boards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction frameworks
- Deep knowledge of quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation tools
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and photonic quantum processors
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects with cross-disciplinary teams
- Security clearance eligibility for government quantum initiatives
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
