Responsibilities
- Architect quantum processors with >1000 logical qubits using topological qubit designs
- Develop error correction protocols achieving <10^-9 logical error rates
- Lead quantum-classical hybrid computing framework implementations
- Design cryogenic control systems operating at <20mK temperatures
- Optimize quantum algorithms for commercial applications in cryptography and materials science
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical interfaces
- Secure patents for novel quantum architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years experience with quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compilation techniques
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum simulation frameworks
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead quantum research teams
