Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures with 100+ qubit coherence
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum systems operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Create hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for enterprise applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure $50M+ in research grants through technical white papers and proposals
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford on quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Architect quantum cloud platforms serving Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in quantum error correction and qubit stabilization
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and dilution refrigerators
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum circuit optimization
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts to executive stakeholders
- Security clearance for DoD quantum research projects (preferred)
