Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Lead integration of quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum machine learning algorithms
- Secure $20M+ research grants from NSF and DoD quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
- Patent breakthrough quantum hardware designs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum processors or superconducting circuits
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum computing
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum simulation tools
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Track record of securing federal research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum cryptography and quantum advantage
