Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Create quantum algorithms for cryptography and simulation breakthroughs
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 deployment milestones
- Document architectural specifications and performance benchmarks
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in advanced protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical systems
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic qubit technologies
