Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems by 2026
- Develop quantum error correction algorithms achieving <10-12 logical error rates
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with classical HPC infrastructure
- Research and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit coherence and gate fidelity improvements
- Define quantum security protocols for next-gen cryptographic systems
- Author technical roadmaps and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or superconducting qubit design
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC codes)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Strong background in cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to translate quantum theory into practical implementations
