Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance and drug discovery
- Lead development of quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in Nature Physics
- Partner with NASA and MIT on quantum-secured satellite communications
- Optimize qubit coherence times using cryogenic engineering techniques
- Drive open-source contributions to the Qiskit and Cirq ecosystems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped ions
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning frameworks
- Security clearance for DoD quantum initiatives (or ability to obtain)
