Responsibilities
- Design and implement error-corrected quantum computing architectures for industrial-scale applications
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms targeting 2026's computational challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, materials scientists, and software engineers
- Create quantum security protocols resistant to next-gen cryptographic threats
- Establish performance benchmarks for quantum advantage in real-world scenarios
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum communication infrastructure projects
- Author whitepapers on quantum optimization for enterprise AI systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with demonstrated fault-tolerance results
- Expertise in topological quantum computing and qubit stabilization techniques
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Experience securing quantum systems against adversarial attacks
- Track record of commercializing quantum technologies
- Clearance for DoD quantum research projects (or ability to obtain)
