Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for 2026 deployment targets
- Lead development of quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit connectivity and coherence times
- Develop quantum algorithms for machine learning and optimization problems
- Present architectural blueprints to C-suite executives and government stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies (topological qubits, photonics)
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm design
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
- Validated ability to translate quantum concepts to business applications
