Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity rates
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum accelerators with classical HPC infrastructure
- Create quantum-resistant cryptographic frameworks for next-gen financial systems
- Research and prototype novel quantum algorithms solving NP-hard optimization problems
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum computing systems with demonstrated qubit coherence >100Ξs
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compiler design
- Publication record in Nature/Science journals or equivalent top-tier venues
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Security clearance eligibility for government contract work
