Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography optimization and material science simulations
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Manage a team of 5-7 quantum researchers and engineers
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Develop strategic partnerships with IBM, Google Quantum, and MIT
- Author quarterly white papers on quantum benchmarking standards
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Computing Summit and similar forums
- Oversee deployment of quantum annealing solutions for logistics optimization
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 8+ years of quantum research experience with 3+ in leadership
- Published work in Nature/Science journals on quantum decoherence
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit control
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
